2027 NHL Draft Board

Seventy-three points, 18 goals and 55 assists, in 63 games as a 16-year-old defenceman, then 23 points in 18 playoff games as Everett won its first WHL championship and reached the Memorial Cup final. Four assists in the gold-medal game of the Hlinka Gretzky Cup in August. He was granted exceptional status to play in the WHL at 15, the first defenceman ever given it, then left for the University of Michigan a year early. The clearest number-one defenceman projection in any class since Schaefer.

Nineteen goals and 24 assists for 43 points in 52 games in Russia’s junior league at 16, then 18 points in 17 playoff games. He made his KHL debut for Torpedo on September 5 and scored in it, the second-youngest player to score a goal for the franchise at 17 years and 178 days, behind only Anton Silayev. The hands and the skating cannot be taught, and they already work at the pro level a year before his draft.

Four goals and eight assists for 12 points in 25 games for Kiekko-Espoo’s under-20 team in Finland, then 11 goals and 11 assists for 22 points in 17 games at the under-18 level, and six points in five games at the under-18 world championship. Signed with the Knights out of Finland in July, a two-way forward who plays centre or wing.

Twenty-one goals and 30 assists for 51 points in 64 WHL games, then two goals in the Hlinka Gretzky Cup gold-medal game against the United States. The skating is the strength.

Twenty-seven goals and 27 assists for 54 points in 58 games for the under-18 team as its central play-driver. Born four days past the 2026 cutoff, he is playing his draft season as a true freshman at Notre Dame, with two full NTDP seasons already behind him.

Twelve goals and 45 assists for 57 points in 68 games from the blue line for his age group, with the puck-moving that projects to a top-four role and the top pair if the defensive game keeps pace. He has committed to the University of Michigan for 2027-28.

Fifty-three points in 68 games, 23 of the assists on the power play. He has committed to Penn State for 2027-28.

Twelve goals and eight assists in 12 games in Sweden’s under-20 league, against players two and three years older. His father, Niklas Sundström, was the eighth pick of the 1993 draft and played ten NHL seasons.

Eighteen goals and 27 assists for 45 points in 41 games for the under-17 team, with the penalty minutes of a player who plays hard, and centre responsibility at the program that produces more first-round forwards than any other. Released by the program in July, he joined the Quebec Remparts for his draft season.

Twenty-three goals and 33 assists for 56 points in 62 games to lead the under-18 team in scoring, then signed with the Sea Dogs in July to play his draft season in the QMJHL.

Thirty-six goals and 39 assists for 75 points in 59 games, named the Spirit’s captain the same season, up from 43 points as a rookie the year before. Committed to Michigan for 2027-28.

Ten goals and 14 assists for 24 points in 60 games in his rookie OHL season after going third overall in the 2025 draft, then three goals and three assists in five games for Canada White at the under-17 World Challenge.

Made his DEL debut at 16 years and 95 days, the second-youngest in the league’s history, and scored five days later, at 16 years and 100 days, the youngest goal-scorer in the league’s history. Playing men’s professional hockey a year before this class even reaches its draft.

Sixty-five goals and 75 assists for 140 points in 60 games the year before, at 15U Mount St. Charles, earned him the program’s under-17 team roster spot. Committed to Boston College.
