2028 NHL Draft Board

Went first overall in the 2025 WHL Prospects Draft after leading the Regina Pat Canadians to their first Telus Cup championship since 1999 as a 15-year-old underager, then scored his first WHL hat trick in Regina in February. Two goals in the Hlinka Gretzky Cup final for Canada in August.

Eleven goals and ten assists for 21 points in 58 games as the Regiment’s first-ever draft selection, fifth overall in 2025, then five goals and seven points in five games as Canada won gold at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup. Committed to Boston College.

Out of Dynamo Moskva’s program, taken 55th overall by Kitchener in the 2026 CHL Import Draft. Already built like a power forward two years before he is eligible.

Ranked second on Elite Prospects’ 2026 QMJHL draft board and projected to go first overall in it, he signed a tender with Muskegon instead and took his draft year to the USHL.

Fifteen goals and 29 assists for 44 points in 22 games at the 15U level for Mount St. Charles Academy, then five goals and 11 assists in seven games for Sweden at under-16. Son of former NHLer Josef and younger brother of Sascha, a 2025 first-round pick.

Led the under-17 team in scoring with 48 points in 51 games in his first season in the program. Committed to Minnesota. Born on the first day of eligibility for this draft, which makes him the oldest player on the board.

Eighteen goals and 20 assists for 38 points in 33 games with the Vaughan Kings, then 13th overall to Peterborough in the 2026 OHL Priority Selection.

Six goals and 30 assists in 69 games for the Chicago Mission, then 17th overall in the second round of the 2025 USHL draft to the Chicago Steel, and on to Notre Dame this summer. Six-foot-seven and a right shot.

On the TPS roster in Turku out of the club’s junior program, the second player on this board carried by a team in Finland’s top league.

Two goals in the opening game of the first international series Sweden’s 2010-born team ever played, a 9-4 win over Finland at Vuokatti in December, and another in the 5-4 win that followed. Sweden won all three, the first of its under-16 sides in ten years to do that.

Four goals across that same three-game series against Finland, two of them in the 9-4 opener.
